FlowJoTM version 11 uses a new file format, the workbench, with a file extension of .flowjo. FlowJo v11 workbenches can be exported as v10 workspaces using the “Export as a FlowJo v10 (.wsp)” workspace action under the file menu, as shown in Figure 1.

Export as a FlowJo v10 (.wsp) will produce a new .wsp file that can be opened in v10, while maintaining the v11 workbench. The output will include a flattened group hierarchy (as version 10 does not support hierarchical groups), all groups, and gates. It does not include the tables, charts, or reports included in v11.
FlowJo v10.10 workspaces can be imported using the "Import FlowJo v10 Workspace" option, also located in the File menu, as shown in Figure 2.
