Regression Table Analysis/Correlation Plots |
||
Once you have generated your table, you may want to see the correlation between two variables' computed statistics. FlowJo gives you the ability to do this through the regression plots generated from a table in the Table Editor. The correlation is determined by the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient. To generate a Correlation Plot from a flowjo table, right click on a cell in a column of your generated table and choose the second column variable from the poup window. Once computed, the strength and direction of the linear relationship between the computed variables is expressed as R. This statistic ranges from 1, implying direct correlation, to -1, implying a pure inverse relationship. An R of 0 means that there is no need to apply the model, as there is no relationship between the variables. For each sample in the table, FlowJo shows the correlation with a dashed linear regression line, including the slope and Y-axis intercept. To generate a Line Chart, hold down the Alt key when you right click on a cell in a column of the table. In the popup window, choose the column variable that you want to plot against. (The column you right click on will be placed on the X-axis). A working example of the regression table analysis (pdf format). |
